Valve Management Solutions

PENCHIN provides on-site inspection, pressure and functional testing of a broad range of new and existing valves whether electrical, hydraulic or pneumatically powered. PENCHIN operates with API standards:

  • API 598: Valve Inspection and Test
  • API 527: Seat Tightness of Pressure Relief Valves
  • ASME B16.34: Valves – Flanged, Threaded and Welding End
  • ASME PTC 25: Pressure Relief Devices

and EN hydro-static and pneumatic testing, we provide the most advanced testing to meet the customer specifications required for both offshore and onshore facilities of the oil & gas industry. Our valve repair services offer solutions for the diagnosis and repair of valves all types and sizes. What we offer is a combination of skilled technicians and modern instrument calibration/valve workshop environment allowing us to routinely perform operations that supersedes our competitors. Should your requirements be to provide on-site, routine or emergency repair services, you can count on our expertise to deliver services that assures you of the integrity of your instruments and consistent process control.

Why Use Us?

PENCHN has made deliberate steps to acquire a containerized mobile digital calibration test rig for the calibration and recertification of pressure safety valves It is mounted within an offshore container designed and tested in accordance with DNV 2.7-1. In addition, this container is equipped with ATEX approved lighting and electrical wiring, and fitted out with a heavy duty workbench, lifting beam and chain block.

Inspections, Testing & Certification

PENCHIN through its certified personnel, provides installation and commissioning of valve equipment for plant performance. As a leading oil & gas service provider, we understand that safety is a delicate process. We recognize that the proper handling and installation of equipment is central to all operations to ensure that our customer’s equipment will always function as designed.

Maintenance

PENCHIN provides valve maintenance and repair services, that helps clean the inner mechanisms and replace anything that is worn. Over time, mineralization, rust and corrosion that affect the valve stem, springs, coils, nuts and other metal parts. In addition, we also attend to valve plastic or rubber parts that may need repair or replacement, which may include:

  • Glands
  • Bushings
  • Gaskets
  • Packing
  • O-rings

Parts & Replacement Management

Penchin through her OEM partners (Severn Valves) provides a full range of valve and valve’s parts replacement. In order to ensure optimum capabilities, Penchin utilizes use-case insights to determine the most appropriate spare part assortments and offers a monitoring program to oversee consumption experience and data to drive procurement volumes.

Penchin offshore container is designed and tested in accordance with DNV 2.7-1. In addition, this container is equipped with ATEX approved lighting and electrical wiring, and fitted out with a heavy duty workbench, lifting beam and chain block. The rig is suitable for testing the following valves:

Maximum Valve size

  • ½” – 3” Any ANSI Class
  • 4” Any ANSI Class
  • 6” ANSI Class 900
  • 8” ANSI Class 600
  • 10” ANSI Class 150

Maximum Test Pressure

  • 690 Bar (10,000 PSI)
  • 541 Bar (7,840 PSI)
  • 225 Bar (3,260 PSI)
  • 150 Bar (2,175 PSI)
  • 30 Bar (435 PSI)

A range of adaptor plates are included to enable the operator clamp any of the above valves. To test the rig securely the following test adaptors are also included:

  • Set of Test Plates to suit ¾” to 12” outlet flanges complete with clamps.
  • Leakage Tube and Container to allow the seat tightness to be tested in accordance with API Standard 527 (used when testing hydraulically)
  • Bubble Pot Assembly to allow the seat tightness to be tested in accordance with API Standard 527. This is used when testing with gas.
  • Set of Stainless Steel Adaptors to suit ½” to 2” NPT female screwed valves.
  • Set of Stainless Steel Adaptors to suit ½” to 2” NPT male screwed valves.
  • Set of Stainless Steel Plugsthreaded ¼” NPT female centrally to take leakage tube. This suits ½” to 2” NPT female screwed valves.

The Test Bench incorporates all the necessary equipment and controls to enable the operator to test Safety relief valves using hydraulic oil or water as the test medium.

This equipment comprises:

  • An AZ-1 series air operated hydraulic pump.
  • Hydraulic pump air controls comprising of a pressure regulating valve, 50 mm (2”) Diameter 0-11 Bar (160 PSI) pressure gauge and pump start/stop valve.
  • Second pressure regulating valve preset to limit the output pressure of the pump to that of the test bench.
  • 45 litre (10 gallon) capacity oil/water reservoir fitted with a sight glass, filler cap, drain valve, suction strainer and stop valve.
